Nadiprana : Format of a Nadiprana Release |
||
|
Because of its deeply experiential nature, Narayan insists on sharing Nadi Prana only in a residential retreat format. The minimum is a 5-day retreat, the ideal a 21-day retreat. The short 1 1/2 hour sessions during a Core Empowerment Training and the 3-week Bodywork Intensive are only possible because they are an integral part of another residential retreat. Such retreats give the participants a chance to really get acquainted with the flavor of the practices and receive enough of an initial boost that they can continue at home on their own. Every day during the retreat, we start out with early morning practices at 6:30AM and pretty much go on practicing till about 9:30PM, with enough breaks in between to have our meals and get some much needed rest. During the retreat, we also observe "essential speech"; i.e. we don't talk except for sharing our experiences in the actual group sessions or giving necessary instructions. To avoid conversations for the duration of the retreat is a great relief for most, as it liberates the participants from the need to keep up an image. In this way everyone can just be with themselves and focus more deeply on their inner process. Nadi Prana retreats are only taught occasionally and only on request from a group of at least five students.
