One of the few "classics" on the subject, well loved and respected wherever it  appeared. Released in 1989, Empowerment through Reiki is still going strong and is translated into fifteen languages. With over 200,000 copies  sold worldwide, the book has had a tremendous impact toward positive  global transformation. It also has given a boost to the growth of Reiki on  an international scale. When Empowerment first came out, Reiki was virtually unheard of; now it is a household word in many places. The book includes Paula Horan's famous "Centering Meditation", helpful to the new practitioner.. Furthermore, the reader is made familiar with the underlying principles of spiritual healing. At the same time, the author also shows how colors, tones, crystals and massage can be incorporated with Reiki healing. In this regard, the author's clairvoyance shines through, as we now know from Dr. Usui's own writings that he also used precious stones to prepare special healing elixirs.
